Noss National Nature Reserve. The wedge shaped Isle of Noss which rises to a height of 181 metres at the Noup dominates the east coast of Shetland . Over millions of years the hard and soft layers of the sandstone have been eroded by wind, rain and sea. This has created a series of crevices and ledges on the eastern cliffs, ideal for nesting.

Gletness in Nesting was most recently used in series seven as the site of the Noss View Guest House. Noss is a small island, off the island of Bressay, off the Shetland mainland.To get there, you'll need to take a ferry to Bressay, and follw signs for Noss (about a three mile drive). From the car park, you walk down the track to the small jetty. You're spotted by the warden who comes to collect you in a small inflatable boat.
